Returns & Refunds

At OnlySpores, we pride ourselves on supplying high-quality microscopy and research materials alongside excellent customer service. We understand that, occasionally, products may need to be returned or refunded, and we aim to handle all requests fairly, reasonably, and in accordance with UK consumer law.

Please read this policy carefully before requesting a return, refund, or replacement.

Spore Syringes

All psilocybin spores sold by OnlySpores are supplied strictly for legal microscopy and research purposes only.

It is illegal to cultivate psilocybin mushrooms in the UK. We do not provide advice, support, warranties, refunds, or replacements relating to cultivation attempts.

If you are unable to observe spores under a microscope, please contact us at hello@onlyspores.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.

To investigate the issue, we may request clear photographs or videos of prepared microscopy slides. Refunds or replacements will only be considered once the product has been returned (if requested) and inspected by our team.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or replacements where products have been misused, altered, contaminated, or used for any purpose other than lawful microscopy and research.

Substrate and Research Materials

If any substrate, monotub, or other physical product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@onlyspores.co.uk with clear photographic evidence.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, repair, or refund.

Due to the nature of sterile products, we cannot accept returns of opened, inoculated, contaminated, or otherwise used substrate products unless they are proven to be faulty upon receipt.

For any claims relating to substrate performance following inoculation, we may request supporting evidence before considering a refund or replacement.

We cannot accept responsibility for products used in connection with illegal activity or contrary to the intended use described on our website.

Change of Mind Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving their order.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of receiving your goods.

Returned items must:

  • Be unused and in their original condition

  • Include all original packaging where possible

  • Be returned within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items unless the goods are faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.

Refunds will be issued once the returned items have been received and inspected.

We reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund where returned goods have been used, damaged, contaminated, or handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted when inspecting goods before purchase.

Orders Returned to Sender

Where an order is returned to us due to:

  • An incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the customer

  • Failure to collect the parcel from a delivery point

  • Refusal of delivery

  • Any other delivery issue caused by the customer

A refund will be issued less a £10 administration and shipping charge to cover costs incurred in processing and returning the parcel.

Alternatively, customers may request that the order be re-shipped, in which case additional shipping charges may apply.

No deductions will be made where the delivery issue was caused by OnlySpores or the courier.

Return Procedure

All return requests must be made by emailing hello@onlyspores.co.uk before returning any items.

Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.

We recommend using a tracked postal service when returning goods, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for purchase.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within 10 working days of confirmation that it has been processed, please:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your card provider or payment provider.

  3. Contact your bank, as processing times can vary.

If you have completed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact hello@onlyspores.co.uk.

Illegal Activity

OnlySpores operates fully within UK law.

Any indication that our products have been used for illegal cultivation, illegal production of controlled substances, or any unlawful activity will void any voluntary warranty, goodwill replacement, or discretionary refund that may otherwise have been offered.

Nothing within this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
